Stand Up, Stand Out: Volunteer Service at Gordon 2023-2024

The full Gordon experience is only possible thanks to the time, talent and dedication of our Gordon families. Gordon relies on volunteer service and leadership to build and sustain community, strengthen connections among families, and ensure that Gordon can fulfill its strategic vision.

Opportunities to support Gordon run across school departments and academic divisions. They can range from serving on the Board of Trustees to shelving books in the library, facilitating a parent affinity group, running a craft table, or chairing a major school event.

Some are jobs you can sign up for and get involved in overnight, others are roles that people grow into during their years of service at Gordon. Below is a guide to some straightforward ways families can plug in and start their Gordon volunteerism journey, followed by a look at some more long-term commitments.

Get started!

Use the form below to indicate which volunteer opportunities are of greatest interest to you. By checking boxes, you are not committing your time and talents. Instead, you can expect leaders in the areas that you indicate to follow up with you as service opportunities arise. GCA Leadership

The Gordon Community Association is the overarching parent organization that aims to build community and create connections among all Gordon families. Using a range of parent volunteers, the GCA plans and organizes grade-level social activities for student families, community-wide events, and appreciation activities for Gordon faculty and staff. Activities strive to create a vibrant, supportive community where families feel a strong and positive connection to the school.
